An extensive set of maps of The Playas de Nosara Subdivision, the most well-established neighborhood in the area. Dating back to the 1970's, this subdivision project is widely known for its Nosara Civic Association, an environmental advocacy group comprised of residents.

Sprawling over 3,000 acres of coastal lands between Punta Guiones and the mouth of the Nosara River, the Proyecto Americano Playas de Nosara Map, also known as the American Project or the Beaches of Nosara, is split into defined subdivision map sections of residential homesite and commercial lots.

Map of The Maritime Zone at the Beaches of Nosara is protected area included in the Ostional Wildlife Refuge, and overseen by MINAE as part of the National Parks system. Extending to 200 meters back from the median tide line along the coast at both Guiones and Pelada Beach, the protected Maritime Zone is shown on the map in dark green. Also shown in dark green are privately dedicated park lands and green areas whose protection and preservation are overseen by the Elected Board Members of the Nosara Civic Association.
