Anchored by La Garta Lodge overlooking the Rio Nosara estuary, Section A is home to some of the original Playas de Nosara pioneers and several private establishments (Villa Mango, Patos Club).

There is a little finger of Section A that rises on a separate, secluded hillside slightly to the south of LaGarta Lodge and the Nosara River mouth with several choice Ocean View lots available.

Between Cerro LaGarta and the aforementioned secluded hillside homesite lots is the road access to the mouth of the Rio Nosara. Also located here are riverfront lodging, horse stables, canoeing, and river fishing tour operator.
