The home is a one of a kind, work-of-art inspiration. Built for a 3 time U.S. Olympic hero, it has a two bed, 2 1/2 bath open space home that sleeps 6 comfortably, Casa Siete Leguas has room for everyone to spread out. Enjoy the ocean and mountain view and abundant wild life in quiet solitude.
A structure made nearly entirely by hand, this is a home that is a work of art. Perched above the winding Rio Montaña, atop the secluded coastal mountain of Doña Cielo, Casa Siete Leguas peers out over the valley below, straight out into the Pacific Ocean. Everything in the home is open. The entire space is 3,000 sq ft, and the top floor alone is a wall-less 2,000 sq ft, broken up by four massive arches holding up a 25 ft high domed ceiling the entire way down. Windows adorn the whole house and offer tremendous light, and at night the dramatic architecture lights up inspirationally. The layout is upside-down, with the kitchen and living areas upstairs, and the two bedrooms below, nestled further out over the mountain, offering respectively unique and exceptional views. One half-bath is upstairs and two full, comfortable baths in the bedrooms below. The house sleeps 7, as much of the furniture is quite big and can be slept on as well. A Moroccan bed, day beds, large wooden chairs and tables of native and foreign wood help decorate the relaxed atmosphere. And the views of the mountains and ocean reveal a new sight every hour of every day. A special neighbor calls the clouds that roll by beneath us in the valley The Incessant Parade of Floats, and it never gets old. Nor does the grey noise of the forest at night, or the rolling thunder through the hills during the wetter months. All of this adds up to a home that outdoes the descriptions every time, and we might prefer that. There is little doubt it is a special place.
