The Yoga Spa also offers massages, spa and body treatments, and healing sessions. The kitchen and dining area can support up to 25 people comfortably for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The kitchen and staff produce amazingly healthy food to make sure guests’ physical bodies are well-nourished and energized. The Yoga Spa accommodates for all common allergens upon guests’ needs. Three times a day there are large, family-style meals in the outdoor, yet covered, dining area. This is a calm and welcoming area where guests have access to captivating views and can enjoy their food, conversation, and time with others.

The Costa Rica Yoga Spa garden truly is incredible. A quick trip from the kitchen to the garden includes crossing a walking bridge outfitted with bamboo and double reinforced wires for safety. This bridge is enhanced with rock sculptures and columns on either side, lights at night, and a subtle hint of Indiana Jones adventure, this bridge is enjoyed by guests of all ages.

The garden boasts a large 50 by 50 foot greenhouse, chicken coup with chickens, a toolshed with plenty of garden tools and equipment, a coconut chopping station (guests enjoy freshly made coconut water in the mornings), and a section for different stages of compostable materials. The greenhouse has large soil beds and most of them are raised to waist level for ease of harvesting and plant maintenance. These beds support a variety of leafy greens such as kale, swiss chard, bok choy, and arugula along with herbs like mint, basil, sage, thyme, and oregano. Other plants include chile dulce, spicy peppers, several different kinds of tomatoes, and more.

Also located onsite is a plethora of various fruit trees. Such trees include avocado, noni, various citrus, coconut, papaya, starfruit, mamonchino, and banana trees. Like the garden, these trees contribute a substantial amount of nutritious sustenance for the kitchen to utilize. Joining the aromatic herb gardens along the walkways of the main level are more soil beds which have everything from the vitamin K rich leafy plant katuk, to a multitude of turmeric and ginger. All the fruit trees and soil beds are have irrigation.

The main level of the Yoga Spa contains four quad-shared rooms, two spacious shared bathrooms in between those rooms, the hotel’s laundry facilities on one end, and two individual bathroom stalls with two shower stalls on the other end. Each quad-shared room contains two bunk beds (four single beds total), four individual locking closets, and a desk area. The quad-shared rooms open up to walkways with aromatic herb gardens, amazing views, and several hammocks strung along underneath banana, papaya, and coconut trees.
The upper level offers four separate, very enticing private suites. Each of the suites has its own private bathroom and access to a very large, brilliantly vibrant, teakwood balcony that unveils awe-inspiring canopy and ocean views. Guests can watch the howler monkeys eat and play in the nearby trees while they experience unrivaled sunsets.

Amongst the facilities are several massage and body treatment rooms. Here, therapists use their wide range of skills to create wonderfully relaxing and rejuvenating experiences for the guests. One of the massage rooms is located on the second floor and is in the middle of the four suites. This massage room has a large open side that faces the ocean and takes full advantage of the ever enjoyable jungle and ocean views. Cool breezes flow through and heighten relaxation and comfort for any type of spa treatment for the guests. The other massage room is within a separate building located near the yoga rancho. With a bit more seclusion, this massage room allows for complete silence and solitude as opposed to the open air breezes and views that the other massage room offers. With this entire layout, the hotel can comfortably accommodate 26 guests.

The yoga rancho is a traditional “Tico style” building that has a large 45-foot diameter yoga/dance floor made out of locally milled teakwood which is protected by a beautiful, tropical thatched roof. The rancho also has a panoramic view of the jungle just below the floor that stretches towards the rich blue waters of the Pacific not too far away. Just outside the rancho is a 10 by 16-foot relaxation pool where guests can cool off and take in the sunshine and views. The pool comes outfitted with a pump and sand filter.
Less than a year after opening its doors, the Costa Rica Yoga Spa was immediately a highly recommended destination on TripAdvisor. In 2012 and 2013 it received the “Traveler’s Choice Award.” TripAdvisor’s “Certificate of Excellence” has been awarded to the Yoga Spa continually from inception. It has maintained its position as the #1 ranked hotel in the greater Nosara and Guiones areas from 2010 to present. CRYS is a listed green hotel and aims for total sustainability.

The private casita is a newly finished building that is separate from the hotel. It sits higher up just above the second story of the hotel along with the yoga rancho. The casita has a full bedroom and bathroom with intriguing architecture and deck space that takes full advantage of all the stunning views. This building works great for retreat leaders, honeymooners or couples in general, and anybody else who enjoys more privacy during their stay.

The office at the yoga spa is located on the property’s main road just past the large gated entrance. The office has a main area with front desk, kitchenette, full bathroom, and seating for plenty of people. On either side there are two private offices: one with multiple desk areas and an attached lockable bodega or storage area, and the other with a large main desk. Both sides can be closed off and have locking doors. Full ownership of the office is included in the purchase price of this sale.

The water has been consistently tested throughout the years and has continuously proven to be some of the best possible drinking water for human consumption. This high quality water has filtered through countless layers of rock and soil and over thousands of years as the property and its well are located on a lush plain in between two large rivers. In order to protect the local howler monkeys, the owners of the Yoga Spa have expended a considerable amount of effort to have only underground wiring for the electricity. This keeps the local howler monkeys from potentially getting electrocuted, adds quite a bit of value to the property, and also prevents the eyesores of above ground wiring. The hotel also has a solar powered water heater which operates from the roof.
